Analysing Data is the second in the series of research methods and statistics modules, delivered at the School of Psychology at the University of Sussex in the second term of Year 1.
Building on the previous module Psychology as a Science, the module introduces the basic principles of hypothesis testing using statistical analysis. The main theoretical focus of lectures is on the linear model and understanding how we make inferences from samples to populations of interest.
On top of lectures, the module offers tutorials, skills labs, and practicals, where you will further develop your chops in the programming language R
, learning how to process, summarise, visualise, and analyse your data, as well as write analytical reports.
